17th Annual Gentleman's Cup Shoot Results

Rick Nelson was our 2017 Gentleman's Cup Winner with an outstanding score of 86/100. Congratulations, great shooting and a great score. All with a borrowed Browning BSS that he has shot for a week. Either a great story or he's good at sand bagging. He promised to come back next year so we'll see.

The weather was unbelievable, blue sky, light wind, sunny and 60 degrees, absolutely perfect.

We need to apologize to the fellows who did not complete their 100 birds, as we got bottled up at the end of the day with Skeet and 5 Stand.  If there were one thing that we could change from this event, it would be that. We wish you could have stayed and finished.

By 3:30+/- we had everyone who stayed finish their Skeet and 5 Stand rounds. 72 Shooters participated in the event

This was by far our best year ever. I have to say thank you to all of you. You were patient and understanding.

Some really nice scores.  All score cards were not turned in.  Compliments to the Freeland Conservation Club from all the shooters on the fine sporting clay course. There were many good and challenging presentations and everyone enjoyed the targets. 5 stand, while challenging, was fair and fun to shoot.

Great shooting everyone. A very nice day of visiting with old friends and a great opportunity to make some new ones.  Thank you all for coming out and participating in the 17th Annual Gentleman's Cup Side By Side Shoot. It's not the score on the card that counts, it's the opportunity to come out, enjoy the day, make friends and play. Always great to see everyone. We hope you had fun and plan to come back again next year.

The date for next years Gentleman's Cup Shoot is Saturday, April 21st, 2018, so mark your calendars. We are planning for bigger and better next year.

Shoot safe and often.
